Serious BASSPLAYER seeking his DESTINY and Grammys !!! Rate It!
I am a " Serious " BASS PLAYER who is seeking other SERIOUS MUSICIANS who are interested in getting out of here ... I promised myself some Grammys some time ago and I have denied myself long enough... I have eclectic tastes in music from Led Zepplin to Quincy Jones to RTF to Beatles with a healhthy dose of P-Funk , even appreciate a little Sheryl Crow ( Physically and musically ) ... Influences are Stanley, Louis, Jaco, Nathaniel on bass .. Will play any type of music but ultimately I would love to usher in a new funk-fusion -jam-dance era .. Seeking devastatingly aggressive guitarist(s), keyboards , drummer, brass, with possible vocal abilities to write , perform OWN music ... This is MY time and I was just advised to be truthful about my abilities and let people know what I can do ... | With just a couple weeks away until the release of our first record, ^This Side Up^, we are gearing up to start playing some shows. We have one minor problem...we have no band! Sam and I had a blast recording the record ourselves, but it will prove very difficult trying to pull it off live with just the two of us (hah). I personally don't think I can do it all at once. Though, it'll give the audience something to laugh at, much like the movie "Gigli" (just kidding). We are finally ready to put the band together. Right now, we are auditioning for bass and drums. In the meantime, Sam and I will be lining up a few acoustic shows, so keep checking back.
Requirements:
Everyone must have their own gear, live in or near the Baltimore, Maryland area, be between twenty and twenty-five years old and dependable!
Bass- Five-string bass player, with the ability to slap.
Drummer- Must be able to do various beats, keep good time, perform interesting and intricate fills.
